Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
It is his initial title following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court since March of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to question if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent rescued four early break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
