I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
